Harry helps beards grow

ALMOST £5 million ($9 million) has been spent on beard care products in Britain in the past 12 months – a rise of 226 per cent in three years, according to a new study.

And beards have never been more popular, with Prince Harry’s decision to wear one at his wedding credited with giving the trend an extra boost.

“Beards are growing, literally,” said Chloe HumphreysPage of market research firm IRI, which published the figure.

“Harry’s decision shows even the Royals are embracing the beard in all its glory.”
