A hat-trick for Robina

-

THE Roo Pen is abuzz after the Robina club completed their first trifecta of the season, with all three teams recording massive wins on Saturday.

Robina’s reserves showed no mercy in their impressive 16.12 (108) to 3.6 (24) win over home side Victoria Point in Round 11 of QFA Division 2.

Versatile on-baller Adam McDonald dominated to be best on ground, and Mitchell Wren bagged five to take third spot on the goalkicking ladder.

Ern Dowling Park then proved a happy hunting ground for the seniors, who notched their second victory of the season with an astounding 22.6 (138) to 9.5 (59) result over the fourth- placed Sharks.

After a slow start, the visitors found themselves 25 points down in the second before a solid 15 minutes had them draw level by half-time.

A remarkable second half had Robina kick 14 goals to Victoria Point’s one.

Caleb Hay, Benny Rodwell and Boeh Davies all starred.

The women’s team continued Beenleigh’s miserable season by winning 14.15 (99) to 0.1 (1) at Scottsdale Reserve.
