Smith named for Scorchers

GOLD Coaster Natarlia Smith will make her Australian Hockey League debut in October after being chosen in the Queensland Scorchers side.

The Townsville product, who moved to Pacific Pines this year and plays for Ascot in Brisbane, is joined in the squad by locals Tegan Richards, Rosie Malone, Maddie James, Jamie Stone (Gold Coast), and Madison and Savanah Fitzpatrick (Tweed).

Starting October 6, the 2018 AHL consists of three weekends of homeand-away matches before finals.
