Overdose fears for star
HEATHER Locklear was reportedly hospitalised after a report of an overdose at her home – just hours after she was released on bail for allegedly assaulting a police officer.
Locklear was taken to the hospital on Monday afternoon when paramedics went to her residence in Thousand Oaks, California, after officers received a report of an overdose, according to TMZ.
The 56-year-old actress was arrested for battery on a police officer on Sunday night, just a few days after being released on a three-day hold in a psych ward, the New York Post said.
Los Angeles police took Locklear, 56, into custody at her California home shortly before midnight on Sunday and charged her with battery of a police officer and a paramedic.
This is her second arrest for attacking police officers.
According to the Post, police originally arrived at Locklear’s home to answer a call from a family member who was worried about Locklear’s behaviour, according to TMZ.
The former Melrose Place star was reportedly drunk and agitated and punched a police officer who attempted to separate her from her family.
TMZ reported that while paramedics put her on a stretcher, Locklear kicked an ambulance officer.
