Cableway and Spit redevelopment great ideas. So where are the doers to get them done. Too much talk and not enough action. Ignore dumb Nimbys. They will always be selfish.

Been a Suns A Gold member for eight years straight. Very seriously thinking of leaving the club before the season ends, because of incompetent management and poor non 110 per cent on-field performance … AFL Fan

I notice Pallasham, our Premier is out to punish the grey nomads who keep the Outback Qld economy going. She is out to ruin those who have paid taxes and set themselves a retirement plan. Just a plain old money grab. Charlie

Regarding the light rail route debate: Michael Hart has the correct route, while I am yet to be convinced the light rail is providing a positive gain as compared to what buses would do. To run the light rail through Palm Beach would create more negativity, traffic and parking problems the area and city can't afford. Radish

Hey Rod Watson sorry mate was not a try clearly. So the bunker had to overrule. Simple

As a blue thoroughly enjoyed the game plus NSW series win. The moment for me was Alfie Langer coming to the aid of Boyd Cordner when injured. Just good sportsmanship and how it should be. PFT

Blame the Greenies for the plastic bag ban. Your views GCB June 26. Ken Wade it’s time you came out from under your rock. Your view shows a total misunderstanding of the damage plastic is doing to the oceans their sea life, the Earth and the ground we walk and live on. Comments and letters like yours show pure ignorance and are not wanted. Plastic is the single largest problem we have among the many. Your attitude has me bewildered and shows your total disrespect to all. Radish.

Ken Johnstone, the Blues won fair and square. They don't need to be bought down a peg or two

Mitcho. Palmy Right on mate Yeahhhhhh go the Mighty BLUES

Two Origin series wins in 13 years and Blues boys think they are special. Such a low bar of achievement. Oh dear.

We will never be able to stop bullying, nor will we be able to stop kids being bullied. It’s a part of life sadly. We need to raise our children to be strong

and assertive. Confident kids don’t get bullied. It’s a fact of life. Come on parents. STOP overprotecting your kids. A bullied primary school child will be a bullied teenager. LS

Please leave Ben Hunt alone. He is fanbloodytastic. A legend. NSW Supporter.

Last week I said after the Socceroos drew with Denmark at the World Cup in Russia that it was too little too late to progress through to the next round. You don’t need to be Nostradamus to work out that both France and Denmark had very little to gain risking yellow or even red cards as well as injuries chasing victory in their last game when a 0-0 draw was enough for both to advance to the knockout stages. Oh well it’s back to the drawing board as we can’t seem to score goals in open play, only from penalties. The Dominator

All that effort to play 3 games of soccer. I hope none of my tax were spent on that stupid World Cup. LB

Trump’s trade war is the cause of the first domino to fall. After that all other dominoes come down. Employment, superannuation, house values get decimated. When you believe in a flawed system, the flaw catches up with you. - Ron

Ash Taylor for Origin 3. ’Bout time he was blooded as Qld’s new playmaker and kicker. Dave

Sorry to see butcher at Arundel gone. Yet another victim of greedy shopping centre owners. Soon there will be no small businesses left.

Gold Coast marathon. 6500 running. I ran the first one in 1979. 150 runners. It has certainly grown. Ernie Parkwood

Waiting for the lights at the Ross St intersection at night this d***head rips through the intersection doing a wheel stand on a trail bike. Just another reason why we see flowers tied around a lamp post. Barney

Hard to understand why big banks are deserving of a corporate tax cut.

JP, you are not the only one who saw action at the front lines, we are trying to forget 1966, those horror times, some of us losing both legs, yet you like to boast about your experience while we try to forget. Bruce, Vietnam Vet

I notice the excellent parklands proposal at Varsity has four carparks. Yet if you want to go to football at either Titans or Suns you’re expected to catch public transport, particularly difficult when games are out of hours. How about a fair go for parking at football venues especially as patrons are paying to attend these games. Grey
