THE Queensland Country Heelers are coming for their interstate rivals after dominating their New Zealand tour.
The Heelers completed a successful tour of Christchurch with a 42-17 win over North Canterbury yesterday to back up their 29-10 defeat of Ellesmere on Monday.
Starting No.13 Jesse McGilvary (Surfers Paradise) chimed in with a try.
Paul Tema, William Bulley, Harry Hawker, Brandon Mayhew and Josh Fletcher also crossed for the visitors, with Fletcher and Will Gilbert booting three conversions each.
Helensvale centre Jack Finigan and Coolangatta Tweed forward Mitch Planten both were named on the bench for the match.
Next up for the squad, which was selected following district and regional representative tournaments, is the crown jewel: The Battle of the Border Cup against NSW Country in Goondiwindi this Saturday.
