Road blitz to reduce trauma

POLICE will crack down on bad drivers across the state as the school holidays begin this weekend.

Operation Cold Snap will focus on the ‘Fatal Five’ and run for three weeks until July 20.

Assistant Commissioner Mike Keating said there would be an increased police presence in order to discourage road trauma.

“Drivers should be aware of these risk factors to avoid endangering their own life, those of other people in the vehicle and the lives of other road users,” he said.
