Wighton pleads guilty to assault

CANBERRA have ruled fullback Jack Wighton out of tomorrow’s clash with Brisbane after the fullback pleaded guilty to assault charges.

Wighton boarded a flight from Canberra to join his teammates in Queensland but the club have confirmed he won’t take the field.

The 25-year-old pleaded guilty yesterday to two charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and three of common assault in February.
