Nazomi Okazawa crosses the finish line.

Nazomi happy to be the lucky last NAZOMI Okazawa was the last runner to cross the finish line at the Gold Coast Airport Marathon.

Ms Okazawa travelled from Japan to run in the marathon and finished the 42km route in six hours, 39 minutes and 22 seconds.

She said she was exhausted, but happy.

“I’m tired, but good. This is my first marathon,” she said.

About 10 runners crossed the finish line after the time limit had expired, including Nerang woman Robyn Devitt.
