Perry staff ’underpaid’

FEDERAL Workplace Minister Craig Laundy says he will follow up allegations celebrity chef Neil Perry’s restaurant empire is ripping off migrant workers.

Chefs working for the Rockpool Dining Group are earning $15 an hour some weeks, well below the minimum wage, while working up to 30 hours’ unpaid overtime, Fairfax Media reports.

Mr Laundy said he would contact the Fair Work Ombudsman today.

Rockpool Dining Group did not respond to requests for comment from Fairfax Media.
