Charged for stab attack

A NSW man has been charged with stabbing his housemate, who is fighting for life.

The two men, 27 and 31, were arguing at a home in Long Jetty on the Central Coast on Monday evening when the older man was stabbed several times in the chest, police say.

He was driven to a nearby police station by two women before being taken to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital, where he was in a critical but stable condition.

The younger man was charged over the incident.
