Offshore: Today, and this week, anglers are going to have some issues with the swell and wind. If you can get out, there’s still plenty of snapper, pearlies, job fish and samson fish.

Further in around the 18 and 24 fathom lines, there’s still plenty of snapper and some nice parrot fish at the moment. Live bait, pillies and squid are best.

Beaches: Still plenty of tailor on the beaches — all the way from Bilinga to North Stradbroke. Night time is best with the pillies. Mulloway best on the pumping jetty.

Seaway: Mulloway, trevally and tailor are the main species. There’s still garfish up on the banks at Parrot Rock and Crab Island.

Broadwater: Flathead in the shallows on the banks and plenty of bream in the deeper areas. Depending on what species, a mixture of tides. Lures — soft and hard plastics — are good for targeting flatties. Report supplied by Gold Coast Fishing Tackle.
