Newest burger creation is flat-out crazy!

JUST when you thought burger offerings on the Gold Coast couldn't get crazier, something comes along that takes the cake.

Burleigh Heads food truck Notorious E.A.T. has introduced a burger that combines sweet and savoury — a maple, bacon pancake burger. Excited to unleash the beast is owner Jemma Wickham.

“It’s a whole new take on your regular burger,” she said. “Starting with a triple stack of pancakes, we put in two organic beef patties, double cheese and double bacon, caramelised in maple syrup.

“Then we drizzle that bad boy in more maple syrup.”

The calorie-laden treat will set you back $15.

To celebrate Canada Day last Sunday, Semi Pro Brewing Co served up the pancake burger alongside with poutine (gravy and cheese on chips) and maple bacon pecan smoked brown beer.
