US Marine charged

THE US Marine Corps says it is taking the alleged attack of a 60-year-old woman by a 20year-old US soldier at Gallipoli Barracks in Brisbane “very seriously”.

Police allege the public servant was dragged from her car and assaulted on Tuesday.

First Lt Jose Uriarte said the Corps was working closely with local officials.

The marine is facing numerous charges.
