‘NAUGHTY’ SHOW AN IDEAL FIT FOR COAST

- SUZANNE SIMONOT

WORLD-RENOWNED Gold Coast performer turned producer Sue Porrett will swap circus tents for a Spiegel Big Top when her latest showstopper premieres in her hometown.

Porrett has been touring the country as production manager for Infamous, a new all-star spectacle featuring dancers, comedy routines, aerial artistry and trapeze. “It’s just a little bit risqué and naughty – well quite a bit actually. The Gold Coast will love it,” Porrett said.

The show is the latest in a string of high-end cabaret meets circus style productions helping to fill the void for intelligent adult entertainment on the Coast. “Over the past few years, the Gold Coast has had some fantastic touring shows play various locations and all have been well received,” she said. “I think a standard has now been set with Gold Coasters and they want more of these types of shows.” Porrett said the show was edgier than most regular cabarets. “Infamous the show is so unique that it fits the entire ‘new age’ demographic and what better location to play than the stunning Gold Coast,” she said of the show for 18+ audiences.

Infamous plays the Spiegel Big Top at Broadwater Parklands from July 13 to August 12.
