A CHILDHOOD love of ‘The King’, and a cameo on stage with another tribute artist is what sparked Stuey V’s flourishing career dedicated to keeping Elvis’ memory alive.

The Gold Coaster had voice coaching to get into the gig. He’s travelled the world for four years, performing to great acclaim.

“It’s tiring, but not once have I turned around and said ‘oh I shouldn’t have done this’,” he said. “I love every minute of it, just to give that person watching the show one memory, taking you back to when Elvis was alive.”

As part of VIVA Surfers Paradise, Stuey V and the Memphis Beat Band are due to play the Surfers Paradise Surf Life Saving Club from 9.30pm tomorrow.
