Driver on kill charge

A 46-YEAR-OLD Toowoomba woman has been charged with murdering a cyclist southwest of Brisbane.

Hong Kong national Shui Ki Chan was killed in an alleged hit-and-run six years ago on the Warrego Highway at Gatton.

Police allege Newtown woman Joanne Marie McCauley ran over the 25year-old some time during the evening of August 22, 2012.

Mr Chan’s body was located in a ditch next to the highway the following morning.

McCauley is due to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court today.
