Life Savers ‘sharp’ buy

-

GOLD Coast businessman Tony Quinn has weighed in on Darrell Lea’s purchase of the iconic Life Savers brand from Nestle New Zealand.

Mr Quinn, who sold Darrell Lea to Quadrant Private Equity for $200 million earlier this year, but still retains a small stake, said he fully supported the purchase of Life Savers and other brands including Oddfellows.

“Quadrant has some very sharp operators at the helm, the best in the business, and what they want to do is capitalise on an expanding business,” he said. “No one should feel sad when a company is being progressive and it’s doing good things for its employees and customers.”
