Kill charge for driver

AN elderly woman has been charged over the death of sixyear-old Indie Armstrong, who was hit and killed by a car in a Sunshine Coast car park.

Indie was severely injured when a car reversed into her on a pedestrian crossing in the carpark of a Nambour supermarket on June 17, while her grandmother and sister were also injured in the incident.

She later died from her injuries, while her 57-year-old grandmother is recovering in hospital from serious injuries.

Police have charged an 86year-old woman with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and grievous bodily harm.
