VR cure hits new heights

A SEVERE fear of could be cured by a reality headset.

A UK science paper says the new VR treatment for vertigo reduced fear of heights by an average of 68 per cent.

The study involved 100 people tested in heights up to 10 storeys through a VR headset, using a standard psychologi­cal measuremen­t of fear.

One participan­t said: ‘‘What I’m noticing is that in day-today life I’m much less averse to edges, and steps, and heights.
