A further easing trend in S groundswel­l follows into the end of the week, levelling off around 2 to 3ft south of the border yesterday and wrapping a foot or so smaller across southern QLD coasts. A minor increase in ENE tradewind swell shows at slight 2ft levels today and tomorrow.

TODAY

Residual SSE swell mixing with minor ENE windswell. Potential for 1 to 2ft sets across the more exposed beaches, grading small to near flat along the points and inside the bays. WIND: Early WSW to SW 10 to 15 knots tending S 15 to 20 knots during the afternoon.

TOMORROW

Rising S windswell gradually supersedes fading ENE swell. Around 2ft exposed open QLD beaches. S swell speculativ­ely rising to a larger 2 to 3ft+ across northern NSW southern exposures during the day and up to a larger 3 to 4ft into the afternoon. WIND: Early SW to SSW 5 to 15 knots tending S to SE and fading during the afternoon.

SUNDAY

S swell speculativ­ely ranging from 4 to 5ft exposed northern NSW beaches early, settling during the afternoon. Mixing with slight E tradewind swell at a slow 1 to 3ft along exposed QLD beaches and down to a smaller 1 to 2ft max inside the points and bays. WIND: Early WNW inshore tending NW to NNW around 5 to 15 knots later.

MONDAY

Easing S swell up to 2 to 3ft+ exposed northern NSW beaches. Mixing with slight E swell at 1 to 2ft along exposed QLD beaches and grading to a smaller 1ft+ inside the points and bays. WIND: WSW to SSW 5 to 15 knots early, tending SSE to SE 10 to 15 knots during the afternoon.

TUESDAY

Background E and SSE swells. Ranging from 1 to 2ft exposed areas and down to 1ft or less inside the points and bays. WIND: Early light W to SW tending light N during the afternoon.
