Was going for three straight at the Gold Coast in early June when arguably should have won. He didn’t jump well and found himself in an awkward spot back in the field. He ran into all sorts of traffic problems in the straight before winding up less than two lengths from the winner. Freshened up, drawn well should find a good spot early and prove too strong late.
