WORLD CUP FINAL

-

FOOTBALL is not “coming home” after all and that is good news for the team at Ladbrokes.

England were incredibly wellbacked with Ladbrokes throughout the tournament and shaped as a horror result, but the Three Lions will now head into the meaningless third-place playoff with Belgium following their semi-final loss to Croatia. The winner of the France-Belgium semi-final was always going to start the World Cup final as a clear favourite, and that has proven to be the case with France currently $1.91 to win the final in normal time, and $1.44 to lift the trophy.

All three of Croatia’s games during the knockout stages have gone to extra-time, as have the past three World Cup finals, so the $3.10 odds for a draw at the end of 90 minutes does appeal. Croatia are $4.50 to win the game in regular time. World Cup finals are generally cagey affairs, and the Total Goals betting market suggests the 2018 edition will be no different. Under 2.5 goals is a clear favourite at $1.44 with Ladbrokes, and as much as $2.70 is available for Over 2.5 goals.

Belgium are $2.20 with Ladbrokes to win the thirdplace playoff in regular time from England at $3, while a stalemate at the end of 90 minutes is $3.50.
