WIMBLEDON

-

THE Wimbledon market was thrown on its head when Roger Federer lost to Kevin Anderson in an epic quarter-final yesterday morning.

The tournament could be decided when Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal meet in tonight’s semi-finals. Djokovic is $1.80 to win that match and $2.38 to win the tournament, while Nadal is $2 to beat Djokovic and $2.50 to win a third Wimbledon title. This will be the 52nd meeting between the pair and incredibly if Nadal is successful, their head-to-head record will be dead-even at 26 wins apiece. There is unlikely to be many breaks of serve in the second semi-final between Kevin Anderson and John Isner, and at this stage the market can’t split the pair.

Isner has won eight of his 11 previous matches against Anderson, including their past five meetings. This is the first time that they will meet on grass since Isner beat Anderson at Queens in 2008.
