Friday might have been Black Friday but it wasn’t the only black day for Queensland Rail.

Commuters I know have told of breakdowns and other issues that happen on a far too regular basis but don’t make the news.

Friday’s debacle was unbelievable. No wonder people are railing against this ‘broken’ system.

From Stirling Hinchcliffe to Jackie Trad and now Mark Bailey as Transport Ministers, commuters have suffered as a result of their ineptitude. Ms Trad promised the whole rail system would be back to normal at the end of 2017. Promises promises!

Yes, the buck stops with them if not indeed their leader Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk. These ministers obviously haven’t caught a train in years as they realise the risks involved.

And this Labor mob has the audacity to use taxpayers’ money to fund taxis for QR employees affected by breakdowns, to the tune of $730,000 last year. Other workers aren’t so fortunate.

It’s obvious de rail system has reached de end of de line! KEN JOHNSTON, ROCHEDALE SOUTH
