Jelly-bean sized hearing aids
Advertising Feature A1 Discreet Hearing Aids audiologist Suzanne Porter says the latest hearing devices are the same size as a jelly bean.
Mrs Porter said this included behind-the-ear devices such as the new Moxi Now product.
“The latest devices that sit behind the ear are now even smaller and yet we have the same power levels in the device,” she said.
“This means we can fit the smallest devices to all of our customers, regardless of whether they have mild or severe hearing loss.
“Often a wearer can choose between two very discreet options, either a jelly-bean size device that sits behind the ear, or a completely within the canal custom hearing aid.”
Mrs Porter said customers could also select rechargeable options; this was particularly useful for those with reduced dexterity.
“The first step towards doing something about your hearing is to organise a free hearing assessment,” she said.
“We have two hearing specialists that can provide you with some dummy devices to try on for fit and comfort. Most are automatic and do not require adjustments.”
A1 Discreet has sites at Q Super Centre in Mermaid Waters, Hope Island and Coolangatta.
All clients get a free hearing assessment. Eligible pensioners and veterans can get subsided or free devices through the government system.
