Age is just a number

INSPIRED by the success of the transgender movement, a Dutch man is also attempting to change his birth certificate – to reduce his age by 20 years so he has better luck dating.

Emile Ratelband, 69, wants his birthday wound forward from March 11, 1949, to March 11, 1969, and has started legal action to do so. Mr Ratelband, a media personality who voiced a character in the Dutch-language version of the film Cars 2, said his body was that of a 45-year-old.

An Arnhem court is set to rule on Mr Ratelband’s application within the next month.
