Transport firm riding high
P2P transport – which has a near-50 per cent market share of cabs on the Gold Coast – says it has evolved into a vertically-integrated passenger transport business.
P2P listed on the ASX in December with a business aimed at capturing some of the growing ride-share market dominated by the likes of Uber, as well as having a significant fleet of taxis.
It rents cars to independent drivers, operates across most states of Australia and has a fleet of 2600 vehicles. Its brands include Zevra, Black & White Cabs, Adflow, and Australia Wide Chauffeur Cars.
Yesterday at the company’s annual meeting, CEO Tom Varga said the acquisition of Black & White Cabs in August had transformed P2P. “P2P Transport now captures revenue at nearly every aspect of the service delivery and as a result has significantly expanded the revenue potential for every vehicle,” he said.
“We now can capture revenue from operators who are part of the Black & White network, advertising revenue and services provided to keep the vehicles on the road.”
