Parko peaks for Hawaii tilt

GOLD Coast’s Joel Parkinson will take top form into the Vans World Cup of Surfing in Hawaii from Sunday to December 6.

Parkinson, 37, is in a strong position to claim a fourth Vans Triple Crown title after taking out the Hawaiian Pro at Huleiwa last weekend.

The World Cup, the second event of the series, is a World Surf League Qualifying Series event and the final QS competition of the year, which will determine 10 spots to the 2019 Championship Tour.
