THE KEY TO SOLVING A TENSE STAND-OFF

The Gold Coast Bulletin - - NEWS -

WHAT was the most tense moment during this week’s major protest at Black Swan Lake where about 15 people chained themselves to the front fence of the construction area?

After a two-hour stand-off police negotiators finally convinced the supporters to leave so the trucks with fill could make their way to the “borrow pit”. All seemed well.

But Bulletin photographer Glenn Hampson instinctively moved in close to take some shots aware of the tension. “Someone’s lost the keys (to the padlocks),” a woman told him.
