THIS week is the national schools championsh­ips, with multiple age groups and divisions, and Gold Coast schools are well represente­d.

HILLCREST CHRISTIAN COLLEGE

17 Boys Division 1: With a record of 3-2 the boys are looking solid so far with Toby Harrold-Evans and Blake Gamble having strong performanc­es.

The boys had a great game yesterday, winning on the buzzer with a length-of-the court pass and finish.

Championsh­ip Women: The girls tomorrow play for bronze. It was a great effort from Jaylen Cooper, leading scorers with 22 points a game.

15 Boys Division 1: Boys were into the semi-final and will now play Westfield Sports High today in a battle for third.

PALM BEACH CURRUMBIN

17 girls Division 2: Girls are 4-0 and looking very strong on the back of play from Ella Brow and Tayla Sleaford.

THE SOUTHPORT SCHOOL

17 Boys Division 2: The TSS boys are performing well with Preston LeGassick top scoring. They have three wins and two losses so far from the group.

ALL SAINTS

17 girls Division 3: A tough week but remain competitiv­e despite 0-4. Bridgette Kennedy and Tayla Forbes providing strong play for the team.

SOMERSET

17 boys Division 4: A 2-1 record in the second pool for the Spartans boys with Dominic Bensley leading the charge.
