■ AFLQ conducting major review of competition structures for juniors across southeast Queensland in bid to retain talent. View to implement changes for the 2020 season.

■ Introduction of some modified games, including the potential of AFLX, in 2019 before rolling out more shorter formats for those unwilling to play a whole season of football.

■ Potential alignment of Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast zones in order to allow teams of similar quality to play while reducing blowouts on the scoreboard.
