Job seeker fund boost

GOLD COAST job seek­ers have re­ceived an ex­tra $2.29 mil­lion in train­ing fund­ing to help get ready for work.

The state fund­ing comes as part of the lat­est round of Skilling Queens­lan­ders for Work, which is ex­pected to ben­e­fit up to 341 Gold Coast­ers.

Un­der the pro­gram in­di­vid­u­als will un­der­take paid train­ing while work­ing on com­mu­nity projects de­signed to en­hance their skills.

More than $34.7 mil­lion has been in­vested in the lat­est round of the Palaszczuk Gov­ern­ment’s Skilling Queens­lan­ders for Work ini­tia­tive to fund a fur­ther 156 projects.
