FISHING

OFFSHORE: Spotted mackerel along the reefs around Mermaid Beach and Palm Beach. Spanish mackerel around the same reefs and 12 and 18 Fathom reefs at Southport and Tweed Heads.

ESTUARIES: Good whiting, flathead and the odd mangrove jack at Currumbin and Tallebudgera Creek. Whiting in the Tweed River. Pimpama River good for mangrove jacks.

BROADWATER: Lots of mangrove jacks around the Seaway. Whiting being caught in the Broadwater. Try Tipplers Channel for flathead.
