TO no empathy! It would seem you have never surfed as most surfers are aware of sharks but surfing in numbers psychologically reduces the odds. Also whilst the Sharks domain we are not intruding but sharing. Once on a wave no one thinks about sharks. But to have no empathy is an extremely poor mind set. Daks

Only one way to end shark attacks: stay out of the water, after all it’s their domain!

I just find it amazing how all these young parents keep complaining about the cost of child care, schooling, sports, clothing etc. Very simple solution. If you can’t afford kids don’t have them. Maybe there should be more stay at home mums just the way it used to be. John Z

It is an absolute disgrace the behaviour of the girls bullying Amber Panozza. First the parents of children who bully other girls should be held responsible for their behaviour. Bullies are cowards as they never act alone, put them one on one and they run. I taught my grandson to go and stand with the person being bullied. The schools are a disgrace in their lack of decisive action to this problem. The education department is no better, it is time they did their job better. The police have got to be involved, for goodness sake boys slapping a young girl around the legs is assault and for a school to ignore that behaviour is a disgrace and teaching them it’s alright to attack girls physically. I feel so much for the young girl and her parents they are suffering too. Nan.

My skinny kid, who wore glasses was continually targeted (and many others too) by previously mentioned thug and his gang in primary school. How do I know? Was totally sick of inaction, so took unpaid leave, went to school admin to let them know I was on the premises to have lunch with my boy. Took a couple of bags of chips and sat in playground until kids streamed out. Whilst waiting for my boy to arrive & get a nice surprise, witnessed thug strangling a boy and single teacher on “lunch duty” not seeing a bloody thing! It starts THERE! I had 8-12 gorgeous kids around me in no time, feeling safe and talking freely about anything! It was a lovely experience to feel that they felt really comfortable with me being there. Just an adult to keep them safe! And rightly so! Ps. Skinny kid is now 6’6” and a gorgeous young man. Over & out for today, but WILL comment on another day, on the appalling way, two “top schools” have dealt with “bullying”. I re-iterate, it starts there, should be stopped there!

No children under 16 should have access to social media. Rubble!

The world wide vaccine volcano is going to erupt very soon. More and more people are becoming aware. Watch this space. LS

Yes Ken W I totally agree Indigenous side played really well not better than the Maoris but one thing that irritates me is that did not open their mouth and sing the Australian national anthem but they soon put out their hand to take the money from the game if you watch them the Maori team sung both in Maori and New Zealand national anthem. John Burleigh

Yes mars dried up and it was run by little green men maybe that was the cause. Rocket

Modern sub divisions are future slums. Poorly planned, no walkways for shortcuts, narrow streets, too many no through roads, no direct routes. It’s the car or nothing. Marco Polo

Nearly killed my radio yesterday! A discussion around finding another way of asking someone “where are you from?” or “what do you do?” . It seems some people, because of their skin colour or facial features, take offence at these innocent questions. Heaven forbid we ask those questions because we want to know you better and are interested in you!! Bloody pc rubbish! Kora

My son has serious mental health issues and went to Gold Coast University hospital last Friday and spent 24 hours in A&E because there were no beds in the mental health unit. They are now telling him that he will probably be discharged tomorrow as they need the bed. I’m his mother and I know he needs to be there longer. Now our “illustrious” leaders want to bring umpteen socalled asylum seekers into our country to help them with their mental health issues. Sorry but I just don’t get it!

Inmates smashing hundreds of tvs in prison, costing us thousands to replace. Simple solution. Inmate pays for replacement or goes without. Ernie, Parkwood

How bad is this 1 aged pensioner fare return to Brisbane Airport from Gold Coast almost 50 dollars we are being fleeced. I wish those who set these prices had to solely live on our pension, maybe they would get the drift on this matter. Mac.

Good on you Woolworths for scrapping the 1-a-litre milk. Rosi

It took many decades to fight for a Casino for Queensland, and now they want to roll them out one after another. Enough is enough. No more please. Mary S
