Weller a late AFLX addition

- TOM BOSWELL

THE Suns will now have three players feature in this week’s AFLX tournament with another on their list becoming a late inclusion.

Gold Coast half-back Lachie Weller has been brought into one of the four teams as an injury replacement and will feature in Friday’s games at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne.

It is currently unknown who he is replacing and in which team the 2018 Suns recruit will line up.

Weller’s inclusion is expected to be confirmed today.

The 22-year-old is a logical acquisition for the bite-sized AFLX due to his slight frame, running prowess and his ability to play in multiple positions across the park.

Weller will join teammates Jack Martin and Jarrod Harbrow in Melbourne with both named to play for Eddie Betts’ Deadly team.
