New league for juniors

AFL Queensland will launch a new Footy4Fun! junior football campaign today in a bid to increase participation in the game even further.

AFL Queensland state manager Cherie Brockwell said the governing body wanted to increase participation by 5 per cent in 2019.

“Footy4Fun! is our first statewide initiative to promote participation in junior AFL football,” Brockwell said.

“One of our main priorities in the rollout of this campaign has been to provide a greater level of localised and community club marketing support.”

Junior competitions start in Queensland next month and early April. Register at play.afl.
