Bringing it all home

-

ONE of the most challenging parts of managing a health condition or disability is getting to and from physiotherapy clinics, says doctor Jordan Gauder.

“This is why Generation Physio is a completely mobile service, my team of practitioners offer evidencebased treatments in the comfort of their patient’s home,” he said.

The business was founded in 2015 by Dr Gauder, a Bond University graduate and Gold Coast local.

He said since its inception, Generation Physio had tripled in size and now serviced the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast areas.

Dr Gauder said he developed the business to help patients recover faster in the comfort of their own home.

“This takes the pressure out of travel and has also improved adherence to treatment programs,” he said.

“We’ve `had amazing feedback, patients enjoy getting treated in their own home and tend to achieve results faster. When you go to a physio, they give you exercises to complete at home, so it makes sense to be able to learn those exercises in the comfort of your own home rather than travelling to a clinic.”

He said Generation Physio’s qualified team specialised in caring for patients of all ages who suffered from lifelong disabilities or chronic health conditions.

“Our services are also available to patients who are covered under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS),” he said.

“This includes physiotherapy, podiatry, occupational therapy, equipment prescription, exercise physiology and hydrotherapy.”

Dr Gauder said his team were willing and able to help patients navigate the NDIS and help assess their eligibility.

“They can also help identify a patient’s health goals and aspirations which the NDIS fund,” he said.
