MAFS STAR UPSET OVER RADIO PLAY
THE 90.9 SeaFM brekkie team has been slammed by Gold Coast Married At First Sight Star Mike Gunner for suggesting he was in a relationship with one of the hosts.
Dan Anstey, Ben Hannant and Bella Frizza, who was filling in for Heather Maltman, copped a spray from Mr Gunner yesterday morning.
Ms Frizza shared a photo of her and the MAFS star on to her 13,000 Instagram followers at the So GC party on March 10.
The following day, the breakfast team joked around that Ms Frizza and Mr Gunner made a ‘connection’ – which lead to the public believing they were a couple.
Mr Gunner was invited onto the show yesterday to clear up the allegations.
But one of the hosts, Mr Hannant, suggested Mr Gunner’s “flirty” behaviour at the party mislead them into believing he was interested in Ms Frizza.
“No. Absolutely not. I was there and I can say with sincerity that I wasn’t,” Mr Gunner responded.
“You invited me to an event, we take one photo together and suddenly everyone’s talking about it like we’re together.
“That’s inaccurate and you knew it. You’ll have to explain to me how that’s funny.”
Mr Hannant then apologised on behalf of the station to Mr Gunner.
