Speedster arrested
A 25-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with multiple offences after allegedly speeding at more than 150km/h down the M1 in a stolen car.
Police received multiple reports from concerned motorists who spotted the man driving southbound around 11.30am yesterday.
Traffic congestion at Mudgeeraba forced the man to stop.
He allegedly became violent and a brief struggle ensued when police went to arrest him.
He was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, obstruct police, possess utensils and false plates.
He will appear at Southport Magistrates Court today.
