Screwdriver stab attack

A 50-YEAR-OLD man is recovering in a Sydney hospital after allegedly being stabbed in the back with a screwdriver at the weekend.

Emergency services went to Anzac Pde at 4pm on Saturday after reports a man had been stabbed.

The 50-year-old Maroubra man was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for treatment for the wounds in his back. He is in a stable condition.

Police quickly established a crime scene and before moving to a home in Maroubra where a 27-year-old man was arrested and later charged.
