TODAY: Long-range easterly tradewind swell slowly fades. Initially up to 2ft and occasionally bigger at the most exposed open breaks, easing later. Grading to tiny levels along the points and inside the bays. WIND: Early light NW to NNW, tending north to NNE around 15 to 20 knots in the afternoon.
TOMORROW: Background easterly tradewind swell up 1 to 2ft exposed open breaks, otherwise grading smaller along the points and inside the bays. WIND: NW to NNW 5 to 15 knots inshore early, tending light and variable, then northerly, NNE around 10 to 20 knots in the arvo.
WEDNESDAY: Potential for steep rising SSE/SE windswell. Speculatively up to 2 to 3ft+ exposed coasts, rising to 3 to 4ft in the afternoon. Otherwise smaller elsewhere with size depending on exposure. WIND: Early light SW to SSW, tending SE to ESE around 15 to 25 knots in the afternoon.
THURSDAY: ESE tradewind swell mixing with underlying S groundswell. Speculatively 3 to 5ft exposed northern NSW coasts, grading to 2 to 4ft across southern Qld coasts and smaller inside the points and bays. WIND: Early light WSW to SSW, tending variable, possibly NNE around 10 knots in the afternoon.
