Armed with butter knife

A PATCHED member of the Lone Wolf bikie gang brandished a butter knife at two women in Surfers Paradise and tried to steal their mobile phones, it has been alleged.

Brodie Jeet Sing, 41, has been charged with two counts of armed robbery and a single count of possessing a knife in a public place.

He did not appear when the matter was mentioned in Southport Magistrate­s Court yesterday. Sing is expected to apply for bail today.

Police allege they were called to an accommodat­ion venue on Ferny Ave about 2.30pm on Sunday where a man with a butter knife was threatenin­g two women.

Detective Inspector Brendan Smith, of Gold Coast CIB, said police would not tolerate violent or anti-social behaviour in public spaces.
