Guilty plea to pot ‘gift’

AN aspiring tourism worker who gave her 16-year-old sister and two friends a $20 bag of pot will spend the next 12 months on probation.

The 20-year-old woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was caught after police found less than a gram of cannabis in her car on February 5 last year.

The woman pleaded guilty in the Southport District Court yesterday to two counts of supplying drugs to a minor and one count each of supplying drugs, possessing drugs and possessing utensils. No conviction was recorded.
