BEREJIKLIAN DROPS IN ON GOVERNOR
GLADYS Berejiklian has visited the NSW Governor after the Coalition secured a majority of seats in the Lower House at the state election.
The newly minted Premier arrived at Government House in Sydney’s CBD yesterday morning to inform David Hurley she can form government. The Liberals and Nationals are on track to win 48 seats.
“This is a proud moment for my Government to be able to make this confirmation,” Ms Berejiklian said.
“I’m hoping that 48 will be my lucky number.” Ms Berejiklian confirmed she had met with the three independent MPs, who said they would provide confidence and supply.
“Notwithstanding that I’m able to govern in my own right, I think it’s important to have that relationship,” she said.
