MISSION FOR THE ARTS HITS A BIG MILESTONE
JOCK and Beverly McIlwain’s mission was to share their love of the arts with the next generation and provide a positive impact on the arts and culture scene. Established four years ago, the Jock and Beverly McIlwain Arts Bus Fund has now marked a milestone, assisting more than 10,000 Gold Coast schoolchildren to gain access to the arts and culture program at HOTA. Sadly, Mr McIlwain OAM passed away in 2016 but his legacy of the Bus Fund lives on. The program provides a one-off subsidy towards transporting children to see an exhibition, performance or workshop.
