Lynch fine after game

-

PRIZED Richmond recruit Tom Lynch says he’s recovered well from his first AFL game in eight months.

The former Gold Coast forward kicked three goals in the Tigers’ first-round win over Carlton at the MCG, watched by the biggest crowd he has played in front of – 85,016.

The 26-year-old said while his body was a bit sore, his knee – on which he has had two surgeries since July last year – felt strong.

Lynch will be straight back into training before Richmond face Collingwood at the MCG on Thursday night.

“I was a bit sore everywhere else besides the knee. The knee feels really good,” he said.

Lynch said he felt the pressure in front of the Tiger Army with an early set shot against the Blues, which he nailed, but admitted he was a little rusty.

“I probably wasn’t expecting to come out and mark everything but I would have liked to have taken a few more,” he said.
