TODAY: Background Easterly tradewind swell superseded by a minor rise in short-period SSE/ SE windswell. Up to 1 to 2ft across exposed Qld coasts, picking up to 2ft+ later. Up to 2ft+ across northern NSW coasts early, rising to a junky 2 to 3ft+ in the afternoon. Smaller elsewhere with size depending on exposure. WIND: Early light SW to SSW, tending SSE to 15 to 25 knots in the morning.

TOMORROW: SE windswell mixing with underlying S groundswel­l. Potential for 2 to 3ft+ sets along the most exposed stretches, grading to 1 to 2ft inside the points and bays with size depending on exposure. WIND: Early lighter SSW inshore, otherwise ESE 15to 20 knots, tending Easterly around 10 knots in the afternoon.

FRIDAY: Combined ESE windswell and underlying S groundswel­l. Speculativ­ely 2 to 3ft across exposed Qld coasts and up to 2 to 4ft south of the border, both swells easing in the afternoon. Otherwise grading smaller along the points and inside the bays WIND: Early light and variable, tending ENE, then NE around 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon.
