Trio charged in AFL blue

THREE men have been charged with affray following a wild post-siren crowd brawl at the AFL season opener at the MCG between Richmond and Carlton.

Police confirmed yesterday that two men aged 19 and another man, 21, had been charged and released.

Their bail conditions include that they not attend any more AFL games.

“Police will not tolerate behaviour that is not respectful of people who are present at the game,” Superintendent David Clayton said.
