No stables for mclean
RACING Victoria’s board has denied trainer Jarrod McLean’s application for extra stables at Warrnambool racecourse, saying it was acting in the best interests and image of racing.
McLean wanted to take over disgraced trainer Darren Weir’s former stables, which contain 43 boxes, and a smaller stable he ran that had 13 boxes.
McLean is fighting four charges issued by stewards, including possessing an electronic apparatus found during a police raid in January.
